Access Statement

Our barns are situated in a rural area, with a private water supply, accessed from the road by a short drive to a stoned area at the rear of the barns where there is parking for several cars.

The back doors of both barns have motion sensor lights, and The Stable Barn is entered by a door (no step) that leads into the large kitchen with tiled floor.

The other downstairs rooms have short pile carpets, with the exception of the cloakroom, which is also tiled and the doors are standard widths.

From the dining room there is a flight of 12 stairs with a handrail to one side, leading up to the bedrooms on the first floor, and two deep stone steps lead from the French doors in the lounge to the shared patio in front of the barns, which has wooden patio furniture.

The Cowshed is single-storey, all on one level, open plan, and is entered by the rear door via a ramp from the car park. It has a wet room, with optional use of helpful aids for our less mobile guests. The patio can be easily accessed from the stable door in the lounge area with no step. Internal doors are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs.

The owners live in a stone house adjacent to the barns and can be contacted there upon arrival, when they will show guests to the accommodation. Mobile phone reception is patchy, depending on the company, but the owners will be pleased to help, should guests need to use the landline.
